Who Are We?

We are the APQE Committee, a team of dedicated and passionate individuals who believe in the importance of a good high school experience. We believe that becoming prom queen should be the life goal of any girl who steps through the doors of an educational establishment because let's face it: being a grown up is drab and boring, and what better affirmation that your life is meaningful can you get than a crown that's a symbol for 'prettiest' and 'girl of the people''?

But, as people who were also teens once, we acknowledge that their judgement might be skewed by things like hormones and pettiness, which is why we started the APQE in 2002 - to let the world deliberate and fairly elect a prom queen without the influence of Riverdale-style badly written drama.

The schools' official results don't often reflect ours, but they tend to get dramatic about our ceremonies which we hold in the same venue on the same day. Maybe they don't like the crossover. If trespassing is illegal, why is it so easy?

Anyway, we are so proud of everyone who eagerly follows our forums and updates. Your support helps us swiftly move servers when we get shut down :) 

Finally, they say don't peak in high school, but really, the impression you leave stays forever. Don't call us shallow and fickle and then come crawling back to us when you get egged by your crush in the school food fight for having major acne. See what I mean? Kids can take a bit of criticism, and law enforcement is so sensitive nowadays.
